Automated knive testing

In order to measure the resistance force when cutting with professional kitchen knives, PWFT GmbH has constructed a measuring device with which it is possible to make a constant cut through a reference paper.

Important for the measuring process is a 90° angle from blade to paper and a constant movement when cutting through the paper. The resistance force then indicates the condition of the blade and whether the blade still needs to be reworked at a certain point.
